About us

Human Network is a global and decentralised network of young people committed to innovative and socially responsibile development, diffusion, and use of information and communication technology (ICT) worldwide.  It was inititated in 2002 out of the momentum created during the ITU Youth Forums in order to lead real positive change.  Please read our history section for a more detailed story about this idea.

This website is a platform created to showcase and support the activities of the memebers of the Human Network.  We aim at encouraging tangible change "on the ground" through initiating for- and not-for-profit socially repsonsible enterpreneurship.  We believe that new ways of international and crossnational communication these days allow us to share experience and help each other regardless of geographical location.  This website is a working space to help this happen.

We also hope that this website will be used as a stage for Human Networkers to voice their opinions and present their visions regarding the role of ICT in buidling prosperous, sustainable, and inclusive society.  We encourages exchange of ideas and experience as well as practical assistance to projects aimed at constructive, innovative, and socially responsible uses of media, information and communication technology.
